The new tenant for the flat I am leaving wants to move in earlier than the termination date and I have already paid the rent. How do I get my money back?

If you have already paid rent for the month in question, the excess amount will be repaid to you. If you have direct debit and a new tenant is moving into your flat at the coming turn of the month, you must contact the Bostaden administrator at 090-17 75 21 so that the direct debit can be cancelled.

How do I make my payment from abroad?

To make sure that your payment from abroad reaches us, you must use the IBAN (International Bank Account Number):

We recommend that you send your payment in SEK. This is for your own certainty that the entire amount of the rent will be paid so you do not risk getting a debt. Don’t forget to quote the relevant OCR number, reference number or customer number! Please note that many banks charge extra when you transfer money between different countries (a transaction cost).

I have not moved in yet, where will the first rent payment notice be sent ?

The first rent payment notice will always be sent to the address stated on your personal page when you accepted the flat or room. Henceforth the rent payment notice will be sent to the address of the flat you have moved into.
You are always able to see the information about your rent payments on your personal page. If you want the rent payment notice to be sent to some other address, please contact Customer service and we will help you.

I have not received a rent notice, do I have to pay a delay charge ?

Yes, unfortunately a missing rent notice is not an acceptable excuse for not paying the rent. You will find your rent notice details on your personal page along with OCR number, amount and expiration date. Please keep in mind that it takes 2-3 bank days before the money reaches us at Bostaden.

Can I pay my rent via E-invoice?

When is the direct debit deducted?

The rent payment is deducted on the last date each month, the due date. If there is not enough money on your bank account, new attempts to deduct will take place the next 3 weekdays. If the due date is on a Saturday or Sunday the rent will be deducted on the following weekday.
If the account has no coverage when the direct debit is deducted, you must pay your rent manually. You will find more information about the notice of payment on your personal page.
